Archery Beginners Course Information

When:      On Monday evenings except bank holidays (an alternative of a Tuesday evening, by arrangement, can be made during the winter months only).

Times:      Summer - 6.00pm till 7.30pm (the time of finishing will normally be extended beyond this time depending on circumstances on the day).

                Winter - 6.00pm till 8.00pm

Where:     Wrenn School

                Summer - Sports field, Doddington Road, Wellingborough.

                Winter - The Gym, Doddington Road, Wellingborough.

Cost:        First evening free to ensure it is a sport you wish to learn. This is followed by 6 lessons with a total cost of £30. Half price for juniors if accompanied by a full paying adult. Family cost by negotiation (depending on numbers).

What you learn:

                 The safety rules. Basic shooting technique. Basic equipment set up and how to assemble a bow. The function and adjustment of the sight. An understanding of archery rules. Archery etiquette.

General:  Our coaches/instructors are all volunteers who are prepared to pass on their expertise for your benefit and whenever possible will stay with you for the duration of the course. Unfortunately this will not always be possible, due to other commitments, but we will endeavour to keep these disruptions to continuity to a minimum.

Please Note:

                 Due to Child protection laws we are unable, at this point in time, to take children under 16 years of age who are unaccompanied by a parent/guardian.
